Aloha Big Islanders! The 17th Annual Kona Brewers Festival is almost upon us and we here at the Big Island Weekly are celebrating the Big event with our own Big contest aptly titled "Can I Get A Beer!"
As we all know tickets to the Fest are always in high demand and the event sells out in short order, leaving many without the chance to take part in the festivities. Well no worries! One lucky reader will be winning a pair of tickets to attend this year, courtesy of our newspaper. As an added Aloha our winner will be spending two nights in the lap of luxury at the beautiful Royal Kona Resort, enjoying its superb setting on the Kona oceanfront.
All you need to do to enter is register on our site and choose your favorite from the list of brewers who will be participating. It's that simple! If you have never tasted any of the wares of brewers listed, then you can simply choose the one you would most like to sample. The contest will run from Feb.15 thru Feb. 29, at which time we will be selecting our winner, in a random drawing.
Here are a few guidelines for entry:
•You must successfully register and submit your vote on the BigIslandWeekly.com/Can I Get A Beer contest platform by noon (12 pm) on February 29, 2012.
•You must be 21 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest!
•One valid entry per contestant. Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
•You must select from the breweries listed, no substitutions or write-ins will be accepted.
The winner may be featured on bigislandwekly.com and in our Big Island Weekly print publication and must be willing to submit to photographs for both. Any participating sponsors may subsequently use the winning participant’s name and image in conjunction with announcements for the purposes of this contest.
