Welcome to Hawaii Tribune-Herald’s Pet Look-A-Like Contest! We’re very excited to announce the contest to find the most pawfect pet/owner look-alikes on the Big Island. The contest launches on hawaiitribune-herald.com, with submissions being accepted between February 10th – February 26th showcasing local pet owners and their pets. After the photo submission period voting by friends, family and the general public begins on February 27th – March 11th online only. Anyone may register on our site to vote once a day during that week. Prizes will be awarded to the entry with the most votes as well as the runner up.
Here are a few guidelines:
•It must be your original photograph. Your photo entry must be an original photo taken by you and unretouched.
•You must successfully upload the photograph to the “Pet Look-Alike” contest on hawaiitribune-herald.com
•The submission must not be defamatory, offensive or obscene nor violate or infringe on any trademark, copyright, publicity, privacy or other rights of any third party. Hawaii Tribune-Herald reserves the right to remove or restrict any entry.
Contest submissions will begin February 10th, 2012 and end February 26th, 2012 at Midnight (12:00am HST). Voting will take place beginning February 27th through March 11th 2012 at Noon (12pm HST). The votes will be tallied and the winner will be contacted by March 17th.
The winners will be featured on hawaiitribune-herald.com and in our Hawaii Tribune-Herald daily print publication and must be willing to submit to photographs for both. Hawaii Tribune-Herald may subsequently use the winning image in conjunction with announcements for the purposes of this contest.
